Greenpower bring you some very exciting news today, and another date for the 2019 calendar.

F24 and F24+ racing will come to Lotus' Hethel test track for a heat and championship round on the 8th June next year.
This will be a kit car only event due to the track limitations.

Greenpower’s Norfolk ambassador and Town Close team leader Matt Buck is delighted to have the event coming to Norfolk; 'It is about time that more young people at school in Norfolk were inspired by Greenpower's brilliant F24 electric racing - and what could be better than to race on Lotus’ historic test track in cars they have built at school? F24 is taking off at schools in the county just as Lotus is looking to an exciting and dynamic future. Town Close School has proved that a new team from Norfolk can compete with the best from schools all over the UK; so bring it on!'

Matt Windle, Vice-President, Lotus Sports Car Engineering said, "Some of the greatest ever racing drivers have driven on the Lotus test track over the years and we are delighted to open up the same circuit to the Formula 24 competitors for next year’s race. Lotus is centred around world class engineers who are designing and developing Lotus sports cars of the future and, by competing in the Formula 24 at our Headquarters in Hethel, we hope that all the participants will be inspired to take further interest in STEM and perhaps become great engineers themselves."

Grants and bursaries worth £1400 are available to schools in Norfolk and the surrounding area for funding to purchase a Greenpower kit car at 50% of list price. Details of the funding can be found at https://www.greenpower.co.uk/project-areas

An invitation is extended to all secondary schools in the area for a test drive event taking place on Tuesday 27th November from 10:00-16:00 at Scottow Enterprise Park. Schools interested in getting involved with the project can see the kit car first hand and test drive it. In conjunction with the test drive Experience, Greenpower’s Norfolk Ambassador Matt Buck, will be hosting a Q&A session at Town Close School, at 16:45. The session will cover practical elements of the project.
