IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR F24/F24+ COMPETITORS
We have recently been asked to advise on the use of HIPS (High Impact Polystyrene) as a material for F24/F24+ bodywork.
This has been reviewed and it has been concluded that HIPS offers inadequate protection and is not considered compliant with regulation T7.2’s requirement for the use of a rigid material, (Ref: 2018 Technical & Sporting Regulations) for use in areas defined by T7.1.
HIPS may be used outside those areas covered by T7.1.
This decision has been taken in the interests of driver safety.
